This post is intended to help get ezBoard newbies through the registration process and ready to post.
WHY REGISTER?
You don't have to have an account to read this board or post here, although we strongly recommend that you do register for several reasons. First, registration allows you to activate several handy ezBoard features. For example you can easily keep track of new and read posts without clicking on every one (to change it's color). Also you can take advantage of ezBoards mail system that will let you contact every other user and them you without using your real email address. Second, you reserve your nickname on this board and every other one in the ezBoard system. Third, it's free and we know of no one that has received spam or any other negative effect from signing up.
HOW DO I REGISTER?
First, go to this link (opens in a new window). As you can see, there are two types of ezBoard accounts--Local and Global. Local accounts are specific to this Poly site while others will allow you to access every ezBoard with your reserved name. We strongly suggest you register under a Global account. If your nickname is already taken try changing it a little (add Poly to the beginning or end, for example). If you really don't want to change you nic, it will be available under a Local account.
After you click on the type of account you want and fill out the information, be sure to uncheck the "Yes! I want to receive messages and special offers from ezboard's advertising partners" box and check the "I agree to ezboard's TOU and declare that I am over 13 years old" box. This way you won't receive advertising from ezBoard or it's affiliates. Click on "Register your account" and then check your email for a validation message. Click on the validation link in the email. You should then receive one more confirmation email. You're ready to begin!
WHAT NOW?
You're all set with your new account. Now, head over to our front page (pub151.ezboard.com/bcalpolymustangs) and click on the "Login" link. You will then be asked for your nickname and password. Enter them, press "Login" and you will then be taken to your account's "Control Center". To make things easier in the future, click on the "Add/Remove Favorites" link on the left side of the page. Enter bcalpolymustangs in the "Enter A Community WebID:" box and click the "Add" button. Now this board will have a link in the "My Favorites" section of the front page of your "Control Center". Every time you login you will be taken to your "Control Center" and will be able to easily get to the board without going through your browser's "favorites". Of course, once you are logged in you don't have to log out of the ezBoard system.
