. . .Big10 television was broadcasting the NWCA All-Star wrestling meet taped Nov 22 in Titan Gym. Not sure if or when this was broadcast in Southern California, but it was a great event. In the 12 minutes Jordan Lewis was on the court, Poly outscored the Waves 27-13. In the 28 minutes without Jordan Lewis, it was 64-56 Pepperdine. Now, I like Jordan Lewis as much as anybody...but I don't think he had Dave Douglas - video...

President Baker to Retire...

President Baker has announced his intentions to retire from Cal Poly's President. This can only mean good things for Cal Poly sports as hopefully the new president will be more welcoming in terms of donations towards the sports program. Here is the letter Baker sent to Cal Poly students this morning:

has stepped up its level of comp.
tonite LBS v. Texas,....
last nite CSUN played the dogs from Seattle,...played them very tough!
Poly will soon play the badgers, our new found rivals from the Midwest or East.

This conference many not be racking up the OOC "w's" (unfortunate), but,
at least it is getting the conference's name spread around.
(May come in handy someday)...
